What's Wisconsin's favorite Christmas candy? Not what the rest of the Midwest picked.

Will Wisconsin's favorite candy be in your stockings this St. Nicholas Day or Christmas morning?

When your kids wake up on Dec. 6 and eagerly check their stockings to see what St. Nick brought them, they'll be true Wisconsin kids if their eyes light up in delight to see their state's favorite Christmas candy waiting for them.

And, just like last year, according to a survey by bulk candy store CandyStore.com, that favorite is Starburst.

It may not bring visions of sugar plums — or even visions of anything particularly Christmassy at all — but evidently Wisconsinites think outside the box when they enjoy their holiday candy.

And it does bring a little bit of Wisconsin pride when you look at the Christmas candy map and realize that we are solidly surrounded by states who love peppermint bark (our second favorite Christmas candy).

Hey, it's nice to be unique.
