Milwaukee-area restaurants open Thanksgiving 2023 for dine-in or takeout

Thanksgiving is Nov. 23, and if you don't feel like cooking, or you can't, you can reserve a table or pick up desserts, sides, or your full meal from a Milwaukee-area restaurant. Here are some restaurants and caterers offering dine-in and takeout for the holiday.

Milwaukee County

Alioto’s Restaurant: Open on Thanksgiving Day from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. with dine-in or carryout. The restaurant offers sit-down dinner with an included dessert, and a children’s menu. Thanksgiving day dinner specials feature Roast Tom Turkey ($30), a 14oz Roast Prime Rib of Beef ($45), and a Roast Young Duckling ($37). Reservations are necessary. 3041 N. Mayfair Road, Wauwatosa. Antigua Latin Inspired Kitchen: Pickup traditional Spanish paella, empanadas and flan for the holiday table from Antigua, 6207 W. National Ave, West Allis. The seafood paella ($160) with fish, shrimp and mussels, or the paella Valenciana ($110) with chicken and pork serve four and include a house salad with chimichurri dressing, and rustic bread with cilantro aioli. Empanadas ($40) are sold by the dozen, with four different fillings. The Argentinian is made with ground beef, onions, red bell peppers, raisins, olives and egg white; the Colombian is made with pulled pork and mozzarella cheese; the chicken includes poblano peppers and cream cheese; and the guava and cream cheese empanada is dusted with cinnamon and sugar. ARIA: A Harvest Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the holiday at this restaurant in Saint Kate — The Arts Hotel, 139 E. Kilbourn Ave. The prix fixe menu features maple apple cider-brined turkey, honey-bourbon glazed ham, mashed potatoes, sausage and sourdough sage stuffing, curried Brussels sprouts, green bean and cauliflower casserole, mac and cheese, cranberry sauce, orange sage biscuits, donuts and pie. $79 adult; $35 child. Benny’s Cafe: Dine in from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thanksgiving specials include roast turkey served with dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce ($16.50); roast duck with orange sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy ($19.50); 12-ounce ribeye with a baked potato ($27); and Atlantic salmon served with dill sauce, fresh broccoli and rice ($18). All dine-in dinners include soup or salad, a glass of wine or beer, and dessert. Walk-in customers are welcome; no reservation required. Blue's Egg: The restaurant will offer take-and-heat dinners with food portions serving four people for $130. The dinner includes half a bone-in roasted free-range Ferndale turkey with pan gravy, baked sweet potato casserole with maple-pecan crumb topping, green bean casserole with mushroom cream and fried shallots, creamy mashed potatoes with chicken gravy, white cheddar mac and cheese with buttered cracker topping, orange and ginger cranberry sauce, and eight Black Shoe Bakery Parker House rolls. The Capital Grille: Dine in on Thanksgiving, or pre-order Thanksgiving sides for pickup. The Thanksgiving dinner plate ($50 adult; $20 child) includes slow-roasted turkey with brioche stuffing, French green beans, and cranberry-pear chutney, with Sam’s mashed potatoes for the table. Pecan-crusted mashed sweet potatoes with hot honey ($14) or pumpkin cheesecake ($12) are available for an additional charge. The full dinner menu also is available in the dining room. Thanksgiving sides are available as a package ($135) which serves four people and includes brioche stuffing, French green beans, cranberry-pear chutney, Sam's mashed potatoes, seeded rolls, and gravy. Coach’s Pub ’n’ Grill: A traditional turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole or corn, dinner roll, cranberry relish and dessert will be served from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. The dinner is $17.95. Dine-in guests may order from the regular menu. Greige Patisserie: This Walker’s Point bakery is offering cheesecake and pies for the Thanksgiving table. The sweet potato cheesecake has a brown butter pecan crust and is topped with a toasted meringue. Pies include: the classic pumpkin pie, a salted caramel apple pie with streusel topping, a chocolate bourbon pecan pie, and a cranberry ginger pie with ginger graham crust and a tart cranberry curd filling. Matilda Bakehouse: Pre-order breakfast items, dinner rolls, butter, pies and cakes to pick up before the holiday. The breakfast menu includes croissants, cinnamon apple Danish, and a French toast egg bake or a ham and cheese egg bake which serves four to six. Pies and cakes are 9 inches and serve six to eight (apple, pumpkin, pecan or French silk pie, or an almond cake with orange zest and fresh cranberries). Pickup is Nov. 22 at 7860 N. Miss Molly's Cafe: Pre-order a pumpkin pie with spiced chai whipped cream ($28), a Dutch apple pie ($30), or a caramelized Pear & Walnut Galette ($32). Order online at missmollyscafe.com/holidays until Nov. 19. Pickup is from 3 to 7 p.m. Nov. 22 at Sully’s Sandwiches, 9211 W. Center St. All customers will receive a promo code to “buy one Shorty Sandwich get a second half off” during pie pickup hours.

Old Town Serbian Gourmet Restaurant: Dine in from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and order from the full menu or the Thanksgiving day menu specials. The traditional turkey dinner is served with whipped potatoes, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, sauteed green beans and buttered sweet potatoes. A whole goose dinner will be available by pre-order only. Additional specials include roasted goose shanks, Grand Mariner cranberry Schaum Torte, apple or cherry strudel, and a salted caramel pecan pumpkin pie wrapped in phyllo dough and served with whipped cream. The Packing House: The turkey dinner drive-thru is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., or dine in from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thanksgiving day. Dine-in customers may select a dinner from the full holiday menu, or order a traditional turkey dinner. The Thanksgiving dinner includes dark and white turkey meat, brown sugar-glazed sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes and gravy, house-made stuffing, green beans and cranberry sauce. Adults are $39.99, and children 10 and under are $23.99. The traditional turkey dinner to-go at the drive-thru window will be $30, cash only, no pre-order required. The Pfister Hotel: A Thanksgiving day brunch buffet will be served from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the ballroom and will include chilled seafood, salads, Wisconsin cheeses, pastries, carved meats and traditional side dishes. Saz’s Catering: Order a ready-to-reheat Thanksgiving dinner and/or a la carte items. The Thanksgiving meal ($150) serves four and includes turkey, mashed potatoes, bread stuffing, green beans almondine, roasted sweet potatoes, cranberry relish with orange zest, salad, dinner rolls and butter, and apple or pumpkin pie. Additional a la carte items include traditional sides, baby back ribs ($20/half rack), riblets ($35/dozen), carved ham with pineapple glaze ($16.50 per pound) and oven-roasted turkey ($20/lb). Milwaukee St. The Thanksgiving menu includes a smoked turkey breast ($55) or a smoked boneless whole ham ($70); half pan sides of cornbread ($20), green bean casserole ($30) or four cheese mac & cheese ($35); a whole pecan pie ($30), or a whole apple pie ($28). Meats are available by the pound, and include black angus brisket, pulled premium Iowa pork or BBQ jackfruit. Tall Guy and a Grill: The West Allis catering company, 6735 W. Lincoln Ave., West Allis, offers a holiday menu for entertaining larger groups for Thanksgiving. Appetizers are sold by the dozen and include bourbon BBQ pork meatballs ($21), gyro meatballs ($18), caprese skewers ($19), pretzel bite and brat skewers ($22) and rumaki ($23). Trays and platters include a Wisconsin farm stand selection of cheese, sausage, house-made pickles, jam and crackers on a 12-inch platter ($80) serving 15 people, or the 16-inch platter ($135) serving 25 people. A la carte servings of baked ziti, Wisconsin baked mac and cheese, and beef or vegetable lasagna are available by the half pan and full pan. Tre Rivali: The Third Ward restaurant is offering a buffet menu on Thanksgiving Day for $65 per person; $35 for children under 12. The menu features roast turkey, baked ham, brussels sprouts, cornbread stuffing, squash soup, little gem Caesar salad, mashed potato with gray, and more. Desserts include pumpkin pie, pecan pie, spiced apple bread pudding, and chocolate budino. The Impossible Meatloaf will be offered as a main dish for vegetarians in your dining party. Ward's House of Prime: Order Thanksgiving dinner to-go with meals of turkey or prime rib for small and large groups. The Turkey Dinner Single ($28.99) includes mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, gravy and cranberry sauce. The Whole Turkey Dinner ($300) serves 10 and includes bread and butter, house salad, whipped sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, buttered corn, stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and apple pie. A whole stuffing-filled turkey is $175. Prime rib dinners are available for two ($125), and groups as large as 16 ($600), and include au jus, creamy horseradish, house salad, mushrooms, mashed potatoesand corn. The prime rib meat can be ordered separately as a whole ($500), half ($275) or a quarter portion ($200). Sides of salad, mushrooms, mashed potatoes, turkey gravy, whipped sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, buttered corn and cranberry sauce can be purchased a la carte.
