Here are 5 Wisconsin Advent calendars to get you in the holiday spirit

Every year Advent calendars are getting more popular, with the term increasing in search year over year, according to Google Trends data.

The calendars, which mark the 24 days in December leading up to Christmas with different treats each day, are becoming more varied, too, with makeup, tools, toys and more filling them.

Local retails are getting in on the trend and are selling calendars filled with everything from Wisconsin-made coffee and chocolate to beer, of course.

Here are five Advent calendars to get you in the holiday mood, Wisco style.

Door County Coffee

Coffee-lovers can try 24 Door County Coffee flavors in their Advent calendar.

Behind each door is a full-pot bag with a mixture of everyday and holiday flavored blends.

Fazio's in Elm Grove is selling a chocolate Advent calendar for the first time in 2023.

Fazio's chocolates

This Elm Grove chocolate shop is celebrating its 10th anniversary by debuting its Advent calendar.

The calendar box features a painting of the outside of the chocolate shop, and inside are 25 sweet treats.

It costs $89.95 and can be shipped or picked up at the shop, 13425 Watertown Plank Road, Suite #7, Elm Grove. Shipping begins Nov. 18.

MobCraftbeer

This Wisconsin-based brewery that creates beer from crowd-sourced ideas is offering an Advent calendar with 24 unique MobCraft brews.

It's complete with six year-round beers, eight limited-release beers, three barrel-aged brews and seven collaboration beers.

The calendar costs $75 and is available at select retailers in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota and Colorado.

It can also be pre-ordered at their Milwaukee taproom at 505 S. Fifth St. or their new Illinois taproom, 101 N. Johnson St., Woodstock, Illinois.

Wisconsin-made beer, wine or soda tree

Kustom Kraft Laser in Kendall makes Advent trees in various designs that customers can fill with beverages, anything from 24 wine bottles or 12-ounce beer or soda cans to mini alcohol shooters or Keurig cups.

Calendars cost between $59.99 for 12-ounce can holders to $79.99 for full-size wine bottle calendars. Contents are not included.

Wisconsin beer calendar

If you're visiting the northwest corner of the state, visit The Local Store in downtown Eau Claire where they have a Wisconsin beer calendar.

It's filled with 24 beers from around the state including New Glarus Brewing Co., Leinenkugel's, Brewing Projeckt, Lazy Monk, Rush River and more.

The box costs $120 and is available by pickup only at the store, 205 N. Dewey St., Eau Claire.
