A new, temporary beer and cocktail garden will debut at Milwaukee's Summerfest grounds this weekend, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc. announced Tuesday.

Here's what to know about the Lakeside Beer and Cocktail Garden, including when it'll be open, what will be on its menu and more.

Where the Lakeside Beer and Cocktail Garden is located

The Lakeside Beer and Cocktail Garden is located at Henry Maier Festival Park, 200 N. Harbor Drive, Milwaukee. You can enter for free through the Mid Gate, a news release said.

When the Lakeside Beer and Cocktail Garden will be open

The Lakeside Beer and Cocktail Garden will be open from 3 to 8 p.m. Sept. 8-9, 15-16, 22, and 29-30.

It'll also be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 23 during Fromm Petfest's 10th anniversary. Petfest, which offers free admission and parking, features pet-centric activities, live entertainment, shopping, food and music.

The Lakeside Beer and Cocktail Garden will be open Fridays and Saturdays for the rest of September at Henry Maier Festival Park.

What will be on the Lakeside Beer and Cocktail Garden's menu

The menu will feature various domestic and craft beers, including Leinenkugel’s Summer Shandy, Terrapin, Miller Lite, Miller High Life and Lakefront's Oktoberfest and Hazy Rabbit, the news release said.

There will also be draft cocktails, hard seltzers, including Vizzy and Topo Chico, and wine.

The menu offers non-alcoholic beverages as well. And, there will be snacks.

No carry-ins will be permitted, per the beer and cocktail garden's webpage.

Entertainment during the Lakeside Beer and Cocktail Garden

The beer and cocktail garden will have live music from 5 to 7:30 p.m. each night it's open, the news release said.

The live entertainment lineup includes Random Maxx Trio on Sept. 8, Rogue on Sept. 9, Barb Stephen and Peter Mac on Sept. 15, Cody James on Sept. 16, Ryan McIntire on Sept. 22, and The Stangs on Sept. 29. Sept. 30's performer is to be announced.

There will also be outdoor games.

The Northwestern Mutual Community Park — one of the state's most inclusive playgrounds — will be open until dusk during beer and cocktail garden hours, the news release noted.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a new or gently used children’s book and place it in the park's donation box, the news release said. The books will be donated to the Next Door Foundation’s Books for Kids program.

Can I bring my kids? How about my dog?

Yes to both. The beer and cocktail garden is family-friendly, and four-legged friends are welcome, too, the news release said.

Where to park for the Lakeside Beer and Cocktail Garden

Free parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis in lots G and M, which are located near the Mid Gate, the webpage said.
