The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (4-4) head to Fiserv Forum to face the No. 7 Marquette Golden Eagles (7-2) Saturday at 9 p.m. ET (FOX). Let’s analyze FanDuel Sportsbook lines around the Notre Dame vs. Marquette odds as we make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and best bets.

The Fighting Irish picked up a victory on Tuesday over the Western Michigan Broncos, 86-65. They covered as 9.5-point favorites, and the Over (130.5) hit. Sophomore F Tae Davis led the way with his 2nd straight double-double (19 points and 10 rebounds). He was under utilized last season at Seton Hall averaging just 2.8 points per game. This year, he's found an important role in South Bend producing over 10 PPG.

Marquette, which is No. 7 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, notched a big win over No. 16 Texas, 86-65 on Wednesday evening. They covered as 8.5-point favorites, and the Under (153.5) hit. Senior G Tyler Kolek had a huge outing against the Longhorns with 28 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. The All-American leads the team in assists (5.3), steals (1.7) and is 2nd on the team in points (15.1) off the bench. The Golden Eagles already have 3 wins over ranked opponents this season.

Notre Dame at Marquette picks and predictions

Prediction

Marquette 71, Notre Dame 56

Moneyline

PASS.

You should obviously avoid betting Marquette (-4500) because the odds are outrageous. Just look to the spread and total if you want to make a bet.

Against the spread

BET NOTRE DAME +21.5 (-118).

As good as Marquette is, I think the Fighting Irish keep this game within reason. Notre Dame wants to slow the game down and limit possessions because it doesn't have the offensive fire power that Marquette has at its disposal.

Notre Dame has covered the spread in 4 of its last 5 games. There has really only been 1 game this season that it was never really in, and that was against Auburn.

Most of Marquette's games against Power 5 conference teams have been close.

Over/Under

BET UNDER 138.5 (-105).

Notre Dame's last game against Western Michigan broke a streak of 6 straight Unders hitting. The Under has hit in 6 of Marquette's last 7 games.

Neither one of these teams really likes to get up and run. They are both outside the Top 150 when it comes to pace of play. The Fighting Irish and Golden Eagles both average 66 PPG on the season.

There really is no reason not to love the Under in this one.
